How we compared
MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) controllers only — PWM units are excluded as a different, lower-efficiency category. Each row uses the manufacturer's own product page or datasheet for max PV input power/voltage, rated charge current and warranty; figures are the ones published for the specific model named, not a brand average.

Verdict — standard, premium, mid-range and budget For most builds the Victron SmartSolar MPPT 100/30 remains the reference: Bluetooth monitoring built in, a five-year warranty and a service network across Europe, at a mid-market price. Büttner Elektronik's SC330 targets a smaller 330Wp array and suits owners already on a German OEM electrical system, though its full spec sheet (efficiency, warranty) was not published on the checked page — treat those two fields as unconfirmed. The Renogy Rover Li 40A gives the most headroom per euro for a mid-size 400–500W roof array, backed by a stated 3-year warranty. The Eco-Worthy 60A is the budget pick with the highest rated current of the four, at the cost of an unpublished warranty term — worth confirming directly with the seller before relying on it.
